An original high-power concept for modern industrial energy
FOGO TWIN is one of the most distinctive and recognizable solutions in FOGO's history – a proprietary platform of high-power generators, designed for customers who demand reliability, operational flexibility, and a modern approach to energy management. From the outset, this project went beyond the standard formula of a classic generator.
Already at the concept development stage, FOGO TWIN was protected as an industrial design, highlighting its unique character and innovative nature on the market. The solution is based on a proprietary concept of installing two synchronized generating sets in a single housing, operating on a common power take-off bus. This provides users not only with high power but also greater operational flexibility, better adaptation to variable loads, and broader possibilities for building advanced power systems.
A history of innovation

FOGO was the first to create such a solution in its class, opening up a new way of thinking about high-power generators. The origins of the TWIN solution lie within FOGO, where this concept was created and developed, eventually becoming a benchmark for the market. Today, many companies are attempting to implement similar projects, even using the term "Twin," which best demonstrates how strongly this solution's name has become entrenched in the industry.
The project's originator was the company's owner and president, who personally participated in every stage of designing the first Twins—from concept, through technical specifications, to fine-tuning the final layout. The first FOGO TWIN was based on Volvo engines, a significant element in the product's history.
The first versions of the FOGO TWIN emerged as a response to the growing market demand for high-power energy sources with greater functionality than traditional single-engine generators. Even then, the concept was both simple and groundbreaking: instead of one large unit, two independent modules could operate together or alternately, depending on the facility's needs.
This approach combined high power with practical operational benefits: more efficient operation at partial load, more even distribution of operating hours, greater service flexibility and higher power supply security.
What makes FOGO TWIN unique?
FOGO TWIN was designed as a system solution. Its architecture is based on two generators, working together within a single control and synchronization system. In practice, this means it can operate:
- parallel,
- alternating,
- depending on the current load,
- in synchronization with other units,
- in selected configurations also with network.
This alternating operation is one of the key advantages of the TWIN platform. It allows for longer maintenance intervals, increased system lifespan, and better distribution of operating loads between the two modules. Furthermore, using two lower-power engines often means using units based on proven automotive solutions, known from heavy-duty vehicles with millions of kilometers of operation. In practice, this also translates into lower maintenance costs.
FOGO TWIN is ideal for applications with variable load profiles and users requiring more than just emergency power backup. It's a solution for industry, critical infrastructure, data centers, the power market, and modern energy systems where operational continuity, scalability, and the ability to integrate with more extensive infrastructure are key.

Technical data and capabilities
The FOGO TWIN family is constantly evolving. Currently, the platform includes units with capacities up to 2000 kVA PRP, placing it in the highest segment of industrial generators. Depending on the configuration, the solution offers, among other things:
- system 2 × engine 2 × generator in one housing,
- low and medium voltages,
- canopies in various forms, including sound-absorbing enclosures and containers,
- very low noise level while maintaining normative standards,
- advanced control automation and synchronization,
- possibility of cooperation with other generators and with the network,
- expansion options with external tanks, ATS, communication systems and other elements of the accompanying infrastructure.
The most powerful configurations, using generators above 450 kVA, feature Marine-style double winding impregnation, increasing durability and resistance to demanding operating conditions. The system is also equipped with a digital AVR with 3-phase voltage control and 0.25% accuracy, and provides a short-circuit current of 320% for 10 seconds. An additional distinguishing feature of the latest Twins is the ComAp IG1000 controllers, which provide a significant competitive advantage. Depending on the configuration, 3- and 4-pole Schneider Electric circuit breakers are also used.
FOGO TWIN uses durable engines proven in both land and sea transport, which further enhances the reliability of the entire platform.
Power that gives you greater flexibility
The greatest advantage of the FOGO TWIN is the way it generates high power. Instead of a single, large source, the user receives a system that can be much more closely tailored to the facility's actual needs. This translates into higher operational efficiency, better operational management, greater system availability, and more efficient fuel utilization.
This is why FOGO TWIN has been a particularly valued solution for years where not only the power itself counts, but also operational resilience, service flexibility and the ability to build modern, scalable power systems.
TWIN in the era of energy transformation

Today, the FOGO TWIN's significance is even broader. Compliance with NCRFG requirements and the ability to run on HVO fuel make it a perfect fit for FOGO's development of providing comprehensive energy solutions for businesses operating in the face of the energy transition.
This is a significant advantage for companies seeking not only a backup power source, but also a solution designed to work with modern energy infrastructure, growing operational requirements, and increasing environmental responsibility. The ability to use HVO opens up additional opportunities for a more sustainable approach to power, while NCRFG compliance confirms readiness for demanding, modern energy systems.
